There is an unavoidable calm when you lay quietly in a pitch black room during the day. The world continues on as if you don’t exist: cars continue to whirr by on the main road; animals chirp and bark at one another with no discernible intent;  social media continues to fill with attention grabbing self promotion. Finding Your “It”

I’ve always been one to assume that the grass is greener on the other side. The next hobby could be better than my current ones. That new device could work slightly better for me. A never ending cycle of new trumping old.

This is an endless trap, a waste of precious time. Notice how new things could, may, should, etc. be better than what I have going on today. There is no guarantee, only the possibility. Instead of always seeking out the latest and greatest, try to find your “it”. That one constant in your life among a sea of change. I’m by no means an expert at this, far from it. Looking Through A Dirty Glass Window

“Nobody dresses up any more.” he muttered to nobody in particular. It should be known that he was quite the cynic. It was a quiet evening in a small town, and he was enjoying walking down lonely roads, clad in a tattered tee shirt and jeans faded by time. His mind roamed free while the sun slowly sank away in the distance.

He had always considered himself misunderstood. An anomaly. He had been younger than most of his classmates yet he was more mature than them. Social skills lacking, his circle of friends was small yet consistent. A series of long standing friendships. His life stood at odds with many of his peers.
